As a former SEND teacher, a mother, and a neurodiverse woman, I understand firsthand how vital it is for families to have safe, accessible spaces where every child can play, imagine, and belong. Crosby Babies Ltd was created with the purpose of making play truly inclusive—where sensory needs are respected, differences are celebrated, and every little one has the freedom to explore in their own way.
My purpose is to support families and caregivers as much as the children we welcome. I want our community to feel relaxed, understood, and reassured the moment they walk through our door. By providing an environment that nurtures both joy and comfort, Crosby Babies Ltd aims to be a place where families can breathe, connect, and grow together.
where it began
Crosby Babies Ltd began with a simple but powerful belief: every child deserves a place where they can play freely, safely, and joyfully—without barriers, without judgment, and without overwhelm.
For founder and CEO Nina Jones, this belief comes from lived experience. After many years as a SEND teacher, Nina became a mother—and soon realised how few truly accessible, neurodiverse-friendly spaces existed for families. As a neurodiverse woman herself, she felt the gap personally. She knew how different the world can feel when environments aren’t built with every brain and body in mind.
So she imagined something better. A place where sensory needs are embraced, where imagination has room to grow, and where every child—regardless of their wiring—can simply be themselves. A place where parents and caregivers can finally exhale, knowing they are understood and supported.
From that vision, Crosby Babies Ltd was born.
Set in the heart of the Sefton community, Crosby Babies Ltd is more than a stay-and-play session—it’s a welcoming stay and play designed with compassion, inclusivity, and lived understanding. Every choice, from the layout to the lighting to the activities, is shaped by the belief that play should be accessible, adaptable, and deeply enjoyable for all children.
